Z-Tech started the way most useful things do: two engineers figured out they'd rather staff themselves carefully than be stuffed into someone else's bench.
Between us we'd been on-call for one MSP's twenty-plus clients for years — firewalls in France, endpoints in the US and Belgium, M365 tenants in Tangier. We were the ones who answered at 2am. The company was registered the week we realised we could do that for more people, under our own name, with a better bar.
Tanger sits between Europe, the Gulf, and West Africa — close enough to all three that our hours overlap with every client. It's quiet here. The internet is good. The coffee is better. We're remote-first but not location-agnostic: this place shapes the work.
Eight years on MSP floors. Cloud and Identity. Azure, M365, Intune. Used to own the on-call phone; now shares it.
We'd rather say no to a brief than stuff the bench with people we wouldn't hire ourselves.
You meet the engineer you work with. They answer the phone. They write the runbook. They stay.
Uptime is quiet. The best week is the one where nothing happened. We optimise for that week.
